Highlands offers an easy solution for busy people planning business and corporate events, with an outcome that is going to make you look good! We will provide you a timeline that suits your requirements, information about each activity and a detailed costing so you can see what is included. Then when you arrive at Highlands leave everything up to us!

Your group activities will be scored and timed, so we can announce winners at the end (we will even provide a prize or two)! Bus & Coach groups

If you are arriving on a coach, bus or minivan, we can pre-arrange for you to do a commentary slow lap of the track in your bus. One of the Highlands team will jump aboard to give the commentary as you drive the track. There may even be a race car whizzing past!

Your group will love our famous Loo With A View, one way glass in our toilets and each one is individually themed.

There is a café onsite with a large outdoor balcony overlooking the park to cater for breakfast, morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea, or simply a cold drink and ice-cream.

We do ask that you pre-arrange your visit to Highlands with our groups team.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

School Groups

Highlands is a popular choice for school groups. If you are arriving by bus or mini van then we start your visit with a commentary slow lap of the track in your bus. One of our team will tell the kids all about the track and the cool stuff that happens at Highlands!

Then Go Karts and the Museum are a must do. There is even a podium and a flying fox at Go Karts. The Museum is filled with interactive activities that is included in your museum entry price (including a Reaction Test, Virtual Reality Room, Daytona Sega Arcade Simulators and a Selectrix Set)!

Car Clubs

We love a car club visit to Highlands.

We offer touring track laps behind a pace car for 2-3 laps on track, the only way you can get onto the Highlands track with your own vehicle. A group photo is a must in one of our various locations around Highlands Park.

There is a café onsite with a large outdoor balcony overlooking the park to cater for breakfast, morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea, or simply a cold drink and ice-cream.

Conference Room (Pit Lane)

Our stand-alone pit lane building has a private conference room on level 1 and is available for exclusive hire. It offers one of the most distinctive function venues in the South Island. This space has an expansive glass-fronted room with amazing views across the Highlands circuit and out to the Central Otago hills, the doors flow out onto an outdoor deck.

This room is a blank space so lends itself well for theming or branding or let the breath-taking views be your backdrop.

The building has a lift and stair access.

National Motorsport Museum

This is the heart of Highlands and is an unique venue for any cocktail function, stand up dinner for a large group or small intimate dinner. We have a selection of beverages for purchase including premium beer, cider, local Central Otago wines, soft drinks and local juices.

Is there a minimum age limit for groups?

Yes, for some of the activities, let us know at the time of your enquiry if you have children as part of your group.

Is there a minimum height restriction for groups?

Is there a maximum weight and height limit?

Our philosophy is if you can fit you can go. We give a guideline of maximum 110kg and 188cm height for the V8 Mustang and Radical U-Drives.

Do I require a driver’s licence?

Yes, for the V8 Mustang, Radical U-Drive and Blindfold Buggies and Subaru WRX Experience – our T&C with our quote will provide further information.

Do I need to like cars or follow motorsport to enjoy Highlands?

NO! There is something for everyone at Highlands. “A passion for Motorsport is not necessary, but a sense of adventure is”.

What is the adrenalin level?

That all depends on the activities you choose, our activities range from low, mid to high adrenalin. Talk to us about your adrenalin level.

Do I need to be competitive?

Not at all, you can take things at your own pace. We haven’t had a group yet that doesn’t want to be competitive, but we leave that entirely up to you!

Do you offer catering onsite?​

Absolutely we do. Highlands have a licensed Café onsite, and our team can cater to all food requirements and dietaries including Halal.

Is your venue licensed or can we BYO food and drinks?

Our venue is licensed, and we sell premium beer, light or no alcohol beer options, cider and local Central Otago wines. No BYO.
